What is a Zuzulu? – The story behind our firm’s name
The word zuzulu is Basque. If refers to a travel amenity used by Basque cultures
that serves the dual purposes of travel trunk and bench. Following long journeys Basque families would unpack their belongings and sit beside the fire on top of their zuzulu to tell traditional tales, eat, drink, and relish the journey. A zuzulu embodies the ingenious spirit and taste for adventure of the Basque people. Our company is proud to bear this name and strives to embody its heritage.
